Yesterday my Siege of Falx – Warhammer 40k campaign kicked off at First Founding Gaming Club.

40K Campaign – The Siege of Falx – Updated Rules
After writing the first draft of campaign rules, I shared them with three gaming friends who I thought would be interested in taking part in the campaign.
The feedback was positive and a few questions were raised. Ideas have since been bounced back and fourth and I’m fairly confident that we now have a campaign that players would be keen to get involved in.

Lieutenant Adamis
The Omega Guardians continue to grow. The latest addition to the ranks is the Eothrus Primaris Lieutenant model from the Wake the dead 40k boxset.
40K Campaign – The Siege of Falx
It’s been a couple of years since I finished painting my Planetary Empires set, and it’s still one of my proudest completed painting projects.
I still enjoy putting the set together in different combinations and often think how cool it would be to use the set in a campaign.
Dark Angels
Last year I set myself the task of getting the Dark Angels from the Dark Vengeance boxset painted.
I didn’t manage to get them completed by the end of the year but I wasn’t far off.
It’s dawned on me that I never got around to taking photos and posting them on this blog, so here they are:
Club Scenery
A couple of years ago, some scenery pieces were donated to my local gaming club (First Founding in Hook). I volunteered to build and paint one of them.
After taking the kit home, it has sat there in its box, looking at me and making me feel guilty, well no more!
Omega Guardian Reinforcements
I’ve been a little bit productive lately.
While finally putting some paint on the Dark Angels, I was inspires to paint up some more Omega Guardians.
Octoberfest 2018
This weekend I attended First Founding’s Octoberfest in Chessington, South West London.
What’s on the Painting Table?
Work has been insanely busy of late, so I have not found the time to get much painting in.
My cityscape scenery has been left in an almost finished state, but before I move on to more urban buildings, I need to finish a project that has already been started.
Omega Guardians
I have finally settled on a Space Marine Chapter after years of flipping between several.
I liked the idea of creating my own chapter as that gives me much more flexibility regarding the rules and Chapter Tactics that I get to use. I also liked the idea of painting a Codex compliant chapter, but didn’t really want to paint Ultramarines.
One of the drawbacks to creating your own chapter is the iconography. For me, freehand icons are out of the question, and homemade transfers is another rabbit warren that I really didn’t want to go down.
Since pretty much everything standard Space Marine kit comes with only Ultramarine transfers, that only left me with one option. Omega.
