As has become a bit of a tradition amongst my gaming group, I have once again taken part in a Christmas Challenge. Previous years have seen us painting and gifting a model to a fellow participant: Tale of 4 Santas

Arks of April – Boarding Actions Terrain Set
Tonight begins the start of my next Monthly Challenge and this one is all about trying to get the Boarding Actions terrain set built and painted up throughout the month of April.

I’ve got some ideas for running a Christmas themed Kill Team game featuring none other than Da Red Gobbo.
The game idea will be similar to the game that was played on Warhammer+ last year (if you’ve not seen it, I fully recommend that you check it out). Here is some info from the Warhammer Community website
While the version I’m aiming to play will be using different rules (Kill Team 2018) the premise of a kill team attacking Da Red Gobbo at his place of work will be central to it. Therefore Da Red Gobbo needs his own little grotto. Enter Kill Team Octarius terrain.

The answer, is solo play. And what better mission for solo play than the second solo mission from Dark Vengeance? Once again this is a mission from 6th/7th edition so how would it play with 8th edition rules. Would it be completely one sided or completely broken?
There’s only one way to find out – FIGHT!

I’ve finally started putting some paint on the Dark Angels.
Orks Tournament List
First Founding Gaming club’s first Warhammer 40k tournament of the year is this Saturday (12th May). Regular readers of this blog should be aware that I am in the process of painting a table’s worth of scenery for this tournament, as such there has been no time to prepare a new army or even new units.
This means that once again, I’m sticking to good old Orks.
Praetorian XXIV Imperial Guard
With the weather being awful recently, I have been unable to undercoat the last two scenery prices for my half year project and so I have taken the opportunity to keep my finger on the hobby pulse by building some Imperial Guard (Astra Militarum) models.
Project Update – Bastion and Vengeance Weapon Battery
More models finished for the gaming table project, this time it’s a second Bastion and one Vengeance Weapon Battery with both weapon options.
