Hobby Resolutions for 2021

It’s time again to make hobby plans for the new year.

Most years I make plans and never stick to them, so this year I will try to make my plans more achievable.

Continue with 2020 projects
This will be to continue with the combat patrol armies that I’ve started but not yet finished. Some of them only need a few models finished to be completed.

The current armies I’m working on are:

  • Craftworld Aeldari
  • Death Guard
  • Necrons *
  • Tyranids *

* These are forces that I haven’t started yet.

Additions to existing armies
I have several armies that I have units to add to, and so I plan to get some of these painted up this year:

  • Orks – Deffkilla Wartrike & Stormboyz
  • Talons of the Emperor – Prosecutors & Assassins
  • Astra Militarum – Chimera & Leman Russ Tank
  • Omega Guardians – Assault Intercessors

New Armies
I have begun a small Deathwatch force so it will be good to get this finished, and will hopefully be quite quick to do.

Warbands / Gangs / Kill Teams
I’m hoping that once Covid is out of the way and gaming can return, that I can play some smaller skirmish games.

I’d like to paint up some of my Age of Sigmar/Warhammer Underworlds models so that I can use them in Warcry.

I’m also keen to start a Necromunda gang and I’m halfway through building some Goliaths.

Kill Team is also a game I’d like to get involved in more. Perhaps I can use my Deathwatch as a Kill Team force, but I’ve also got a small Tau collection that would be good project for Kill Team.

I’ve also got Aeronautica Imperialis that I’m yet to open up, so 2021 might be the time to take to the skies.

During the lockdown I started building some zone mortalis walls from TT Combat (Iron Labyrinth), I’m aiming to finish building these and getting them painted up to use with Necromunda Underhive.

  • Warhammer 40k – Deathwatch
  • Warcry – Stormcast Eternals &  Kharadron Overlords
  • Necromunda – Goliath Gang
  • Kill Team – Tau
  • Aeronautica Imperialis: Wings of Vengeance
  • Terrain – Zone Mortalis walls

So, all in all there’s quite a lot to get through. Chances are I will fail to do most of this (as like previous years) but at the moment I’ve been quite productive, so if I can keep that up, who knows what’s possible?

I hope you all have a great 2021.
