…I’m back.
Just in time for Kill Team.
The release of Kill Team is just around the corner and my starter set should be arriving tomorrow.
I love playing the smaller skirmish games set in the 41st Millennium and while it saddens me that Kill Team is essentially replacing Shadow War: Armageddon (which I love and sadly have not played enough of), from what I’ve seen of the rules for Kill Team, I think there is still a place for SW:A. I’m a fan of the pinning dynamic in SW:A and that doesn’t appear to be in Kill Team.
I’m a little disappointed that there are no transports in this version of Kill Team and also no bike units. Games Workshop have said that there is more to come from Kill Team and there were definitely Thunder Wolves in the teaser video, so who knows what the future holds.
So, what have I been up to these past few weeks?
Well, I’ve been very busy of late and there hasnt been any time for hobby until recently. With Kill Team coming out so soon, it’s been a time for people to get their Kill Teams together. I’ve got plenty of Orks to build a Kill Team with (Lootas are now an option too!) but I’ve decided to use this as an opportunity to start my new Space Marine force in a chapter of my own design.
So here is my current Work In Progress Kill Team:
The new Kill Team box set also comes with some sparkley new terrain (whoop!), but before we can start on the new stuff it’s on with the old as I’ve also been putting together some Manufactorums (perhaps another gaming table will be in order for the next First Founding tournament?).
