This weekend finally saw me finish both the Munitorum Armoured Containers as well as the Vengeance Weapon Battery.
The majority of the Munitorum Armoured Containers set has been completed for a while, and so the set was completed by finishing off the one remaining container.
I decided that I didn’t want all of the containers to look the same and so I painted this final one differently. I’m now thinking that it looks odd to have one different, so looks like I’ll be picking up another set in the future.
The barrels were painted green to tie in with the oil barrels used on my Ork vehicles.
The ammo crates were painted in green and grey to tie in with the containers.
Here is the whole set. There may be a bit too much green used so I think another set is in order to mix up the colours.
The second Vengeance Weapon Battery was also finished off this weekend. I painted this in exactly the same way as the first so here they are side by side with the Battle Cannon option:
And here they are with the Gatling Gun option:
Here are all of the weapon options so you can see how I am able to swap them:
I’ve now only got two more items to paint to complete this project, the Skyshield Landing Pad and the Aquila Strongpoint. Unfortunately, the weather has not been good this weekend and so I have been unable to undercoat and base paint these models. Next weekend perhaps…
Looks great dude 🙂
Thank you for your comment and thank you for taking the time to check out my blog.
Mixing up the colours on the Munitorum Containers definitely helps them look better en masse. My personal headcanon for the colour schemes are that the main colour indicates what Manufactorum the container was made in, while the stripe around the middle (I did that the same as you, but on all of them) indicates what shipping concern or organization is currently using it, or currently owns it. At some point, I’d like to go back and add logos and stuff to them, but I know I’m probably not going to get around to it.
