Recently, I have been excited once again about the return of Necromunda. We know it’s coming at some point but don’t know when.

In anticipation for its return, I wanted to make sure that I’m able to hit the ground running with some games by making sure that I had a gang painted and ready to go.

This has lead me to stripping a horrible paint job off of my Van Saar gang and starting again.

I was hopeful that my painting skills would make them look better than when I first attempted about 20 years ago.

Sadly, these old metal models have more details on them than I’m used to with my Orks, they are also smaller and more fiddly.

While I believe I have done a better job on them than before, I’m not that impressed. Looks like human skin isn’t as easy as Orks. And the details on the faces were just too small.

Once again, washes have made me look better than I am…

I’ve been so prolific, that I even had chance to paint some hired help.

  1. Looking good!!

I really cant wait for GW to crank out some of the old Specialist Games, I just hope they live up to the nostalgic memories I have from 20 years ago!

  2. Where I am we still use the original rules for a campaign once a year. It’s very exciting to have a new edition in the pipes again after so long, although it’s hard to say what I’m expecting from GW on the Specialist front. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Here’s hoping sustained fire dice make a comeback! Grin.
