Going somewhere Solo?

I’ve always been more of a narrative Wargamer than a tournament player. Most games of 40k that I play are aimed at the competitive side. This being due to the fact that we have regular tournaments down my local club and everyone is usually getting some practice in for these.

Solo wargaming gives me the opportunity to do something a little different.

I was initially putting models together for Stargrave, but then I discovered Five Parsecs From Home.

I wanted something a bit different to the grim dark universe that I’m used to so I’ve tried to avoid using GW models and so have mostly stuck with North Star Miniatures.

I’m not particularly creative and so I have taken inspiration from some other well known Sci-fi franchises for colour schemes.

My aim is to play Five Parsecs fairly regularly with the aim of telling the crew’s story on this blog.

I’ve so far enjoyed the lead up to the gaming as it has lead me down the path of building and painting certain models.

Keep an eye on the blog for future Five Parsecs from Home content!

And with these models complete, that’s another 3 squares completed on the Hobby Bingo!
