As has become a bit of a tradition amongst my gaming group, I have once again taken part in a Christmas Challenge. Previous years have seen us painting and gifting a model to a fellow participant: Tale of 4 Santas
Last year was a painting competition amongst ourselves, where the theme of the model was linked to the 12 days of Christmas. I had wanted to paint up some Null Maidens, for 9 Maidens Nulling, but I never got round to it.
So after last year’s failing, I endeavoured to make sure I took part this year.
This year’s challenge was set to the theme of giving. So a model that gives out buffs to other units. As it’s a Christmas Challenge, participants are encouraged to make their model “Christmassy”. This could be as little as putting them on a snow base or painting lights to look like Christmas lights.
I decided to crack open a model that I purchased a couple of years ago, I think he fits the theme quite nicely:

This was a lovely model to paint and I’m really pleased with how he’s turned out.
I hope to be playing Kill Team on Friday as either a replay or follow up to last year’s Christmas game and if so I will be making use of this model.
Rules wise, since I play the 2018 version of Kill Team. The 9th edition rules for him should be easy to adapt.
Maybe next year I’ll have to paint up a themed Kill Team of Grots to go with him…

Looking great Neil!
