A new squad for a new army – Deathwatch Veterans

I had a thought that I would be able to get some Deathwatch models painted really quickly. In reality it took longer than planned as other projects took my interest and I hit “the wall” with these guys, but once I finished one of them and finalised how I was going to paint all the different parts, the rest finished up soon after.

I can’t say that I enjoyed painting the moulded shoulder pads but the majority came out ok (I gave up trying to make the Imperial Fist icon look good).

I’ve got an idea for how I could use them in a bit of a solo 40k game (maybe more on that in the future).

All in all, a nice little side project and another box completed in the Hobby Bingo!
