When I first got into the hobby, White Dwarf was my only source of hobby inspiration.
Back in the 90’s, whenever there was a new squad of models released, there was always a page showing each of the individual models available, usually followed by a battle scene showing the squad in action.
There were also battle scenes on the back cover and inside front cover.
For me, these helped sell the idea of Warhammer 40k.
Even as exciting as the old battle reports were to read, seeing the action of the battle reports with professional lighting and models painted by the ‘eavy metal team without dice and rulers lying around all over the place were the best bits for me.
With all this in mind, and now that I have a few different armies, I’m planning on staging some battle scenes of my own on this blog.
At the very least it will give me a chance to play with some of my toy soldiers and scenery!
