Sector Mechanicus: Part 6

The Hobby Train continues to stop at all stations Sector Mechanicus.

I’ve really gotten into painting these kits recently. I’ve got a lot of it built and ready for painting so it’s good to finally be able to get some of it finished.

What started as a reason to clear my painting area and start on a new project has turned into a little bit of an obsession as I’ve been building and painting more and more of these kits.

I’ve got plans to make my own little oil rig, not quite Ferro-Giant Alphus at Warhammer World, but big enough for some Shadow War: Armageddon or an Incursion level game of 40K. A Fell tide mission from White Dwarf issue 465 would be great to give a try.

This piece of Sector Mechanicus terrain comes in several parts and was built to match a tower that was used in a Necromunda Battle Report way back in the December 2017 issue of White Dwarf.

  1. I love these kits as well, though it’s difficult not to go overboard and paint all the tiny details! Always great to see it come together, though. Have you got much more still to paint up?

    1. Yes, still more kits to paint up. I’ve got some 3D printed walkways that I’m going to test painting next. If all goes well, then there’s nothing to stop me making my own oil rig!

      1. Fantastic! I shall be watching with interest 🤣 That rig in Warhammer World is probably my all-time favourite of the dioramas they have!
