It’s been a long while since my last blog post and even longer since I’ve tackled some Sector Mechanicus terrain.
While I have not blogged since February, I haven’t been sat idly not doing any hobby. Although it’s not massive amounts, I have been quite active on the hobby front, it’s just that I’ve not technically finished anything (still got basing to do), so haven’t blogged about it. Till now.
As a constant hobby butterfly, there’s always a new hobby project or idea getting in the way of what you’re currently working on.
I’ve been working my way through some stargrave models as I really wanted to give the solo rules for that and Five Parsecs from home a try, and then my head has been turned as there’s been talk of some narrative 40k gaming that would require some additions to my Omega Guardians force. On top of that, my nephew has now gotten into 40k and has so far beaten me at every game we’ve played. It’s therefore time for a new army.
Before work on a new army can begin, a clear up of the hobby space is needed, so I.decided that it was time to finish a project before moving onto the next.

I’ve had this piece of Sector Mechanicus Terrain sat on my desk for months. I had started painting it but then hit the wall with no time or motivation to get it finished. The idea of picking out all of the walkway parts and leaving the silver in the recesses filled me with dread.
I remember painting Sector Mechanicus before and finding it quite easy, so I don’t know why it took me so long to paint more of them.

Turns out that it was quite easy to get done and I’ve gotten into a bit of a groove, with more Sector Mechanicus on the way…
