June Junkers

Bit late again this month, but June was quite a warm month and the desire to sit and paint on a hot evening just wasn’t there.

My original plan was to paint a couple of Ork units in the colours of the Deffskulls, but I’m just to get something painted.

It’s been quite a while since I last painted an Ork unit as I’ve really struggled for motivation for painting green skin.

My original method involved a couple of layers of green, a dry paint and a wash.

I’ve found a much simpler way to paint Ork skin which I think made this a more fun project than it could have been.

The whole model is painted in the base colours including Orruk Flesh for the green, and then washed entirely in Agrax Earthshade. I then just highlight the teeth to make them standout.

As you can see, I’ve only painted 9 of them as I was missing a Nob model. Once I’ve found a suitable model amongst my pile of shame I’ll get it built and painted. Then I’ll do all of the bases.
